#25 Danny Syvret

Date: 12/7/2007

Danny Syvret is in his first year with the Springfield Falcons, he is an alternate captain and last year split between the AHL and NHL's Edmonton Oilers.

Question: What does it mean to you to be named an alternate captain?

Danny Syvret We are a younger team, so we only have a few veteran players, and I have a little more experience so that helps me. It means a lot, anytime you can be a captain, it always means a lot to you as a player.

Question: Over the course of a long season, how do you keep everyone together as a team?

Danny Syvret You have to keep things in perspective and understand over 80 games, there will be some ups and downs. All you can do is practice hard and make sure you are ready to play every day.

Question: You suffered an injury earlier in the season when you took a puck to the mouth, how have you recovered from that injury?

Danny Syvret It was tough, there was damage done to my teeth, but we are very close to recovery. I have to still cut my food into little pieces and chew towards the back of my mouth, but it could be worse.

Question: How would rate the season thus far?

Danny Syvret It's been good so far, we play in a very tough division and every game seems to be a tough game. We just need to keep winning games, we have played well this year and need to keep it going.

Question: What would you say is the biggest difference between the Eastern Conference and Western Conference?

Danny Syvret I think in the East, it's more structured and not as much run-and-gun like it is in the West. Hockey is hockey so no matter where you play, you still need to work hard and that's the most important aspect.
