Kayla Skiffington of East Longmeadow netted her 1,000th career point in the Bay Path College women’s basketball team 64-50 loss to Regis College on Jan. 25.

She reached the milestone at the 6:45 mark of the first half after finishing a layup to complete a self-propelled 8-0 run to close the Wildcats’ deficit to five.

Skiffington, a senior, finished the game with 30 points, including 17 in the game’s final 20 minutes, and 11 rebounds.

As of press time, her 17 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game ranked second in the New England Collegiate Conference this season.
