| SPRINGFIELD The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced that defenseman Ladislav Smid has been recalled by their National Hockey league affiliate, the Edmonton Oilers. In eight games with the Falcons this season, Smid has collected one goal and four assists for five points and a +3 rating. He was the game's first star on Oct. 20 at Albany when he scored his first goal of the year and added two assists in a 5-2 Falcon's win. The Falcons return to action on Nov. 2 against the Providence Bruins at the MassMutual Center at 7:30 p.m., followed by another home game on Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. against the Manchester Monarchs. Single game tickets for the 2007 - 08 regular season are on sale at the MassMutual Center Box Office and online at ticketmaster.com.
