One of the black belt students at U.S Academy of Martial Arts in East Longmeadow is collecting funds for the Hurricane Katrina disaster relief fund at the American Red Cross. The student, nine-year-old Avery Singh, has already collected $100. "As a black belt member of our community, students are encouraged to stand out, be leaders, help others and do the right thing. We are proud of Avery and his efforts," said Grand Master Han, owner of U.S. Academy of Martial Arts. To help Avery, donations can be made in the collection can at U.S. Academy of Martial Arts, in the Stop and Shop plaza in East Longmeadow.
