| Little Sun Valley Skating Club competes at National Games of America Fifteen members of the Little Sun Valley Skating Club will be representing the states of Massachusetts and Connecticut at the Games of America. The Olympic style competition is being held in Colorado Springs, CO from July 28 thru 31, 2005 and features medalists from each participating State Games in various sports. Opening ceremonies will be held on Thursday, July 28 and features a parade of athletes from each state. Figure Skating events are being held at the World Arena, a state of the art facility with three ice surfaces and a world class training facility for skaters. Competitors include: Georgina Oliviera of Ludlow, MA; Kevin Lombardo of Broad Brook, CT; Brittani Morgan of Springfield, MA; Deidre Tocci of South Hadley, MA; Meghan Corning of Enfield, CT; Tylar Anne Suckan of West Springfield, MA; Kristyna Bronner of Wilbraham, MA; Ashley Desmond of Enfield, CT; Christine Dobiecki of Ludlow, MA; Lucia Montalvo of Chicopee, MA; Marissa Tetreault of Springfield, MA; Anna Rohkind of East Longmeadow, MA; Ashley Assad of Wilbraham, MA; Leanne Lessard of Chicopee, MA; Heather Duquette of Sprinfield, MA; and Rebecca Pratt of Longmeadow, MA. Several other club members have qualified and will not be competing at this bi-annual event. A send off ceremony will be held for the skaters on the evening of Monday, July 18, 2005 at the Enfield Twin Rinks in Enfield, CT. |
