| Several members of the Little Sun Valley Skating Club attended the fourth annual Spring Fling Basic Skills Competition. The event was sponsored by the Skating Club of Amherst and held on the campus of UMass Amherst at the Mullins Center practice ice rink. Kari Nunes of Ludlow coached the following students at this event. Brianna Brennan of Holyoke captured the gold medal for Basic 4 compulsory moves. Chantal Savoie of Hampden received a gold medal for Freeskate 2 compulsory moves and a bronze medal for Freeskate 2 program. Jenna Langevin won the gold medal for Basic 6 compulsory moves. East Longmeadow's Kelsey Coughlin skated her way to a silver medal in Freeskate 1 compulsory moves. Madalyn Cohen captured the bronze medal for Basic 6 compulsory moves. The Little Sun Valley Skating Club congratulates all club members competing on a job well done. The club is accepting applications for our summer basic skills, freestyle, dance, and moves in the field sessions to be held at the Smead Arena at Blunt Park in Springfield and the Enfield Twin Rinks in Enfield, Conn.
