Date: 5/22/2015

PERRY, N.Y. – Western New England University sophomores Justin Bard of Westfield and Keegan Dudeck of Longmeadow have been named 2015 Division III honorable mention All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, it was announced on Tuesday.

Bard had an impressive debut season for the Golden Bears after playing his 2014 sophomore campaign at NCAA Division II American International College.

The attacker racked up Commonwealth Coast Conference-leading totals of 63 goals and 87 points, both career highs. While earning All-CCC First Team, ranks 16th in NCAA Division III goals per game (3.15) and 25th in points average (4.35). Earlier this month, he was selected the Most Outstanding Player of the Eastern College Athletic Conference D-III Men’s Lacrosse Championship after recording nine goals and 13 points in two games.

A midfielder, Dudeck too had a breakout year of 46 points on 17 goals and 29 assists to eclipse his freshman scoring totals of 27-13-14. The engineering major's other postseason accolades include All-New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) honorable mention and first-team All-CCC. One of the top playmakers in the CCC, he rated fifth in the conference with 29 helpers. He also scooped up 21 ground balls for another personal record.

All told, men’s lacrosse has produced 28 All-America citations since 2002 – all under 14-year head coach John Klepacki – for the most of any sport at Western New England.

Western New England, the No. 1 seed in the ECAC tournament, defeated No. 4 Marywood, 14-12, and host and No. 2 Alfred, 14-13, to capture the program's fourth ECAC crown in team history (2004-05-11-15) in as many appearances. The Golden Bears finished with a 14-6 overall record, including 7-1 for second place in the CCC.
