WNEC to be the site of baseball clinic

SPRINGFIELD Western New England College will be the site of a winter baseball clinic for high school players on Jan. 27. There will be two sessions, with the morning session focusing on position players from 9:30-12:30 p.m. The afternoon session will focus on catchers and pitchers from 1:30-4:30 p.m.

The Western New England College baseball team is ranked 22nd in the pre-season NCAA Division III Poll conducted by Collegiate Baseball.

The Golden Bears, coached by Matt LaBranche, are coming off a school best 35-12 record that included winning the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament title and a third-place showing at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship.
