Noble Hospital luncheon shows appreciation for local volunteers Date: 5/11/2015 WESTFIELD – Noble Hospital hosted a volunteer appreciation luncheon April 15 at East Mountain Country Club in honor of Noble’s volunteers and to celebrate National Volunteer Week.
In 2014, 118 volunteers gave more than 12,000 hours of service to Noble Hospital. This is the equivalent to more than $144,000 salary expense. Many of our volunteers have given generously of their time and talents for over 10 years.
Noble Hospital recognized these three individuals, along with all of our volunteers, who have reached milestones in their volunteer hours: Jack Wolfe, 16,000 hours; Barbara Ross, 15,065 hours; and Joan Clendenin, 7,434 hours.
National Volunteer Week is about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities.
It’s about demonstrating to the nation that by working together, in unison, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals. National Volunteer Week is also about taking action, encouraging individuals and their respective communities to be at the center of social change – discovering and actively demonstrating their collective power to foster positive transformation.
Volunteers donate their time in many different departments throughout Noble Hospital. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Laura Smigel at 568-2811 ext 5526.
