Third 'Laugh for Ramps' fundraiser coming to Chicopee
The Stavros Center for Independent Living Come is sponsoring its third "Laugh for Ramps" comedy night to help support its Home Sweet Home Program to build ramps for people. This event will be hosted by local comedian Marc Rossi and will showcase Denise Richardson (a.k.a.) Madame HaHa and Bob Gautreau.
Madame HaHa has appeared in comedy clubs throughout New England. She was the winner of the 1997 Comedy Monologue. She is a sure hit. And so is Bob Gautreau a comedian, songwriter, and improvisation artist. His improvisations include some of America's television and movie icons such as Sylvester Stallone and Archie Bunker.
Come and join us while we "Laugh for Ramps" Oct. 20 at the Days Inn, Chicopee (Exit 5 off the Mass Pike). Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show will start promptly at 8 p.m. Tickets $12 in Advance $15 at the door. Tickets are on sale at Stavros offices and at the Days Inn in Chicopee. For more information contact Stavros at 781-5555 or 1-800-804-1899.
"The Home Sweet Home Program" helps kids, grandparents, and everyone in between with mobility problems gain independence that most people take for granted. Think about it next time you leave your house to go shopping, to work, or just out to have fun. Some folks can't get out simply because there's no ramp.
