Harvest Festival returns with crafters, music, games, car show

Date: 10/12/2022

AGAWAM – A fall tradition returns Oct. 15 as the Agawam Rotary Club presents its annual Harvest Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at School Street Park.

Bud Breeding of the Rotary Club called the event its “biggest fundraiser of the year.” Breeding said the festival was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic for two years, and last year the event had to be conducted under public health protocols.

Lynne Merceri, the club’s secretary and the Harvest Festival coordinator, explained there is no admission for the event and over more than 10 years it has become “a staple in the community.” She added, “It’s amazing how many people turn out. Some vendors sell out.”

The festival will feature more than 70 vendors and crafters, food by Nicky’s Pizza, a rag shag parade, music by the Doug Rossini Band, an area for children with yard and table-top games, and a raffle with 70 prizes. A car show is schedulede from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Funds generated will be used for the Agawam Rotary Club’s public service projects. In case of rain, the event will take place Oct. 16.
