AGAWAM – December is the month for last-minute holiday shopping for the perfect gift. Fairs are often one of the best places to find local and unique gift ideas. Impressions Academy of Dance will host their annual Winter Vendor Fair on Dec. 2 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Impressions Academy of Dance studio.
The vendor fair first began four years ago as a fundraiser for the dance team. Proceeds from the fair go toward competition fees, trips to Nationals and upcoming Disney World performances by the dance team at Impressions Academy of Dance.
Melissa Landry, Director and Coordinator for the Winter Vendor Fair, believes in the importance of supporting the community through events such as the fair. “I am a firm believer in supporting small businesses and supporting the community. Our dancers work really hard and want to further their education and take opportunities, so this is a great way to help support them.”
Vendors featured at the fair will include LulaRoe, Scentsy, Tupperware, Rodan and Fields and Partylite. Small businesses will also be selling products such as wood signs, ornaments, jewelry, candles and handmade soap. Among local vendors are Shaunessey Lambert of Shaun’s Scarves, Shauna and Scott Kosak of Ashline Soaps, Natalia Bernal of Chalk Couture, Jill Trujillo of Paparazzi Jewelry and Accessories, Marilyn Dion of Bowl Cozies and Melissa Gilbert of Color Street Nails.
Landry is happy to see small businesses participate in the fair. “I love to give small businesses the opportunity to promote themselves, especially around the holidays.”
Other activities will also be offered at the vendor fair including a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese raffle. The 50/50 raffle and Chinese raffle will include dontated items from various vendors and local businesses. There will also be a bake sale hosted by the dance team, where they will be selling holiday-themed treats to support their upcoming trips.
The vendor fair will take place at Impressions Academy of Dance, located at 848 Suffield St. in Agawam.
