CHICOPEE – City leaders and members of the public celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by raising the Irish flag on March 10 outside of City Hall. Mayor John Vieau and state Sens. Adam Gomez, Jacob Oliveira and John Velis offered remarks on the Irish heritage embedded within Chicopee. Members of the Chicopee St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee were also present alongside 2023’s Colleen Court. Each member of the court received proclamations for their achievements as young community leaders.
