Date: 3/4/2016

NORTHAMPTON – Northampton-based band Trailer Park performed as part of “Big Surf Dance,” a two-day in-door music festival that took place Feb. 27 and 28 at the World War II Club in Northampton, which brought together local musicians in support of Homeward Vets.

Larry Green, a Springfield resident and the event’s organizer who created a similar one-day in-door music festival last year that benefited the Holyoke Soldiers Home, told Reminder Publications last year 50 percent of the proceeds benefited the Soldiers Home, while this year 100 percent of the fundraising will go to Homeward Vets.

A total of $800 was donated to the Holyoke Soldiers Home last year, he noted.

Performers included Seth Newton, Donut Kings, Josh Pearson, Larry Dulong & Random Sightings, Lexi Weege, Ray Mason, Shokazoba, Taking Back Eden, the Buddy McEarns Band, Eva Capelli, Rusty Curtains, and others.
