FLORENCE – Santa Claus as we know him today didn’t exist until the 1950s, prior to that he wore a long robe and went by the name: Father Christmas.
This holiday season Jacki Jacobs Photography will be taking families back to the Victorian Era to meet this jolly fellow and capture the moment with a quick picture.
Jacki Jacobs Photography’s depiction of this historic character is a younger man with a light green and gold dressing gown. He enjoys a good laugh and is a big fan of meat pies and a good wassail.
The company has set the scene in his quaint cottage with a rustic Victorian Christmas feel. It even has a snowy landscape for some of our additional photo opportunities. Packages and ala carte options will be available should parents hope to purchase prints and products of their little ones for the holidays.
On Nov. 29 from noon to 6 p.m., Dec. 6 and 20 from noon to 3 p.m., Jacki Jacobs Photography invites families to come to Groundings at 7 Main St. to have their pictures taken with Father Christmas for $10. Mini holiday photo shoots will be offered as well. Guests are encouraged to call in advance to make sure everyone gets a chance to be photographed. Call Jacki at 687-9311 or email jackijacobs@gmail.com for further details or to book an appointment.
Remember to dress your kids in their holiday best. No pets will be admitted this year due to our location.
