Aaron Smith P.C. adds two to team

EAST LONGMEADOW – Aaron Smith, P.C., a certified public accounting firm serving individuals and businesses in the Pioneer Valley for over 80 years, announced the addition of two new staff accountants: Chengyan Vanessa Hu of Belchertown and Jessica O’Brien of Westfield.
Both Hu and O’Brien will be working with the manager and partner group on a variety of client assignments.
“We are pleased to bring on board two qualified staff accountants who can add more dimension to the services we already offer our clients,” David Padegimas, certified public accountants (CPA) managing director of Aaron Smith, P.C., said.
Hu, who relocated to the United States in 2006 from Shanghai, China, is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass) with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She will obtain her Master of Science in accounting at the end of 2014. Prior to joining Aaron-Smith, P.C., Hu volunteered as a tax assistant at the UMass, assisting low income domestic families in preparing their tax returns.
O’Brien is a 2012 graduate of Westfield State University (WSU) with a Bachelor of Science in business management. She obtained her Master of Science in accountancy from WSU in 2014. O’Brien previously served as an accounting associate for a consulting firm specializing in the management of individual and group disability products.
