Date: 11/2/2009

GREATER SPRINGFIELD Business consultant and new author Ann Latham, president of Western Massachusetts-based Uncommon Clarity Inc., is hoping to help both businesses and women succeed this November.

From Nov. 1 through 30, Lantham will donate all proceeds from the purchase of her new book, "Clear Thoughts Pragmatic Gems of Better Business Thinking," to the Women's Fund of Western Massachusetts.

The book is available from Latham's Web site at www.UncommonClarity.com. During this fundraising promotion, shipping is free.

"Clear Thoughts" contains 32 concise articles that will provoke, motivate and provide immediately applicable advice for getting better business results. Each is a quick read and provides great value.

Jane Lansing, Vice President of Marketing at Emerson Process Management, called "Clear Thoughts" "the fresh, grounding breath of perspective that every executive needs in order to see clearly despite the daily chaos."

"Education, freedom from violence and a fair shot at success are critical ingredients for individual success," said Latham. "And individual success is what fuels our country. The more people who thrive, innovate and contribute to our society, the better for all of us.

"By helping the women and girls of Western Massachusetts succeed, we help ourselves," she added.

The Women's Fund, Latham said, is dedicated to this mission.
