Bank welcomes Baral

WESTFIELD — Westfield Bank President and CEO James C. Hagan is pleased to announce that Nadia M. Baral has joined the bank as vice president compliance officer.

A certified regulatory compliance manager, Baral is responsible for the bank’s overall regulatory compliance function. She has 10 years of banking experience, most recently as compliance officer for Hampden Bank.

Baral earned her bachelor of science degree from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.

She also serves as vice president of the Western Massachusetts Compliance Association.

Baral lives in Westfield with her husband and daughter.

Alger joins Sovereign

HOLYOKE — Sovereign Consulting Inc. (Sovereign) is pleased to announce that its Holyoke office has hired Christine Alger, a resident of Holyoke, as an office administrator.

Alger earned her A. S. and certification in Human Services from Holyoke Community College.

Prior to Sovereign, Alger was administrative assistant at Webster Trucking in Windsor Locks, Conn., where she was responsible for office management, supervision of 150 employees, human resources support, and database management. At Sovereign, she will provide administrative and marketing support for the Holyoke office as well as Sovereign’s client programs.
