Big E unveils improved Web Site

Date: 8/16/2010

WEST SPRINGFIELD Eastern States Exposition recently announced the launch of its new, colorful and expanded Web site.

The redesign separates the different aspects of ESE into four new and specific Web sites The Big E, Eastern States Exposition, Storrowton Village and The Eastern States Exposition Foundation. The site is arranged in convenient, well-organized drop-down menus and all four sites can be accessed from any page.

"TheBigE.com is a complex site with a vast amount of information. However, it is organized in such a way that it is easy to navigate and fun to use," Noreen Tassinari, ESE director of marketing, who served as project leader, said.

"Our Web site is designed to serve a multitude of audiences from our million plus Big E guests, to livestock exhibitors and 4-H and FFA youth, to concessionaires and vendors, meeting planners and show promoters who utilize the grounds for shows and events year-round, brides planning weddings, teachers scheduling experiences for students at Storrowton Village Museum, media and many others," she added.

New features of the site include flash animation, "What's New" and "Calendar of Events" modules, as well as a "Food Finder," which will debut in time for the 2010 Big E.

ESE worked in partnership with Ntelligent Designs of Irvine, Calif., who has designed Web sites for some of the major fairs in North America. The site will continue to be hosted by Ashton Associates of Westfield, Mass.

The Web site may be accessed via TheBigE.com or EasternStates-Exposition.com. The Big E takes place Sept. 17 to Oct. 3 in West Springfield. For tickets and more information, join our mailing list at TheBigE.com, find us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter or call the Info Line at 205-5115.
