Debra A. Boronski-Burack, president of the Massachusetts Chamber of Business & Industry, has been elected chair for the Board of Regents of Institute for Organization Management (Institute), a four-year professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Boronski-Burack is a 20-year veteran of Chamber of Commerce leadership in Massachusetts. As the newly elected chair of the Northeast Board of Regents, she is also required to hold a seat on the National Board of Trustees.

"This is such an honor," Boronski-Burack said. "I have committed my entire career to chamber management. Serving in this leadership capacity for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce allows me to share my knowledge with hundreds of chamber and association professionals every year.

"I welcome this opportunity to continue learning and growing in my profession," she said.

Institute is the industry leader in non-profit education. "A strong Board of Regents is essential to Institute's success," said Raymond P. Towle, IOM, CAE, vice president, Institute, U.S. Chamber of Commerce. "These volunteers are responsible for implementing all policies and directives from the National Board of Trustees. They work to drive site attendance, provide recommendations for program improvement and serve as an on-site resource for Institute participants."

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation representing more than three million businesses and organizations of every size, sector and region.
