American Chamber designated Boronski senior vice president of ACCGS

ALEXANDRIA VIRGINIA The American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) (www.acce.org) has designated Debra A. Boronski, senior vice president, Affiliated Chambers of Commerce Greater Springfield (MA), as Certified Chamber Executive (CCE). The CCE is the only national certification for chamber professionals.

"The CCE program is designed to assess the applicant's knowledge of the core chamber management areas - leadership, planning, development and finance, and administration," says William Sepic, CCE, president of Lansing (MI) Regional Chamber of Commerce and CCE commission chairman. "The applicants who are designated CCEs rightfully earn this outstanding recognition through hard work, countless hours of dedication to their field, and leadership of their staffs and chambers. We are proud to have this year's class join a long tradition of professional excellence."

Boronski was one of 20 chamber executives who earned the CCE designation during the ACCE Annual Convention last week in Cleveland, Ohio.

A chamber professional for more than 16 years, Boronski has held the posts of president of the Chicopee (MA) Chamber of Commerce and, for the past nine years, senior vice president of the Affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield.

Boronski possesses significant experience in the areas of economic development, membership services, and in creating strategic partnerships. A recipient of the "Woman of the Year" award from the Massachusetts Federation of Business & Professional Women, her expertise includes employee management, strategic planning and forming and nurturing relations with community and business leaders.

She has a master's degree in Management from Cambridge College and has served as a professor of marketing at American International College and adjunct professor of marketing/human resources at Cambridge College. She has also recently graduated from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organizational Management, recognized as the standard for professional development and fundamental training in the chamber industry.
