Center has ongoing business programs, classes

The Center for Business and Technology (CBT) at Springfield Technical Community College offers many programs. Below we have highlighted to programs, the first for entry-level health care professionals and the other to benefit Mystery Shoppers. They will also offer an open house soon.



The Center for Business and Technology (CBT) at Springfield Technical Community College has announced that they will offer a number of programs to prepare entry-level health care professionals during the upcoming term including:

Principles and Practices of Phlebotomy

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Training

Pharmacy Technician

EKG Technician Training Program

Medical Coding and Billing Certificate Program

Preparation for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Examination

Certified National Pharmaceutical Representative

Mystery Shopping

The Center has announced that they will offer a

"Mystery Shopping" course in early January. Mystery shopping is a type of market research used to gather information on a specific company or location and mystery shoppers can earn compensation as a professional mystery shopper, an anonymous "spy" disguised as a regular customer. This non-credit course will be taught by the experts from ValuedOpinion, a market research company in Pittsfield, MA, and will provide participants with methods to sharpen their observation skills, write neutral reports and guarantee their overall success as a mystery shopper.

Open House

A number of Free Open Houses in early January has been scheduled for individuals interested in the wide variety of career training programs offered by the Center. CBT staff and instructors will be available to provide detailed information and answer questions on many of the Center's career programs including PC Technician Training, Medical Coding and Billing Specialist, EKG Technician, Phlebotomy, network and webmaster certification, Microsoft Office Specialist, GED preparation, Veterinary Technician, Real Estate Sales and Appraisal, Journey Electrician, Pharmacy Technician, and the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training program.
