Citizens Bank’s Growing Community grants help local nonprofit organizations

GREATER SPRINGFIELD – State Rep. Brian Ashe, D-Longmeadow, announced an opportunity for local nonprofit organizations to apply for grants through the Citizen Bank’s Growing Community grant initiative in Massachusetts. Citizens Bank Foundation will award up to $150,000 in grants ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 for projects “that contribute to the resiliency of neighborhoods by fostering economic growth.”

The deadline to apply is Sept. 19. Applications my include efforts to support local economic activity, creation of small businesses, job creation and other efforts that will make a neighborhood a better place to live.

“I would like to thank Citizens Bank for their continued support of our local communities and I am always pleased to provide my constituents with any opportunity they may have to receive additional funding for local economic development,” Ashe said.
