Freedom Credit Union makes additions to management team

SPRINGFIELD — Freedom Credit Union recently announced the following staff additions to its management team.

Andrew Inglot of Belchertown has joined Freedom as a Residential Mortgage Originator and is responsible for real estate origination throughout Western Massachusetts. He will help expand Freedom’s mortgage services to its members in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Berkshire counties and offer his expertise in FHA and Rural Housing financing.

Inglot has nearly 20 years of experience in the finance industry, including expertise in residential mortgage origination, securities and insurance sales, property and casualty, and tax preparation. Most recently, he was a loan officer at Sovereign Bank and prior to that, he operated an independent mortgage company for eight years with offices in Wilbraham and Ludlow. Inglot is working at the newest Freedom branch on Cooley Street in the Sixteen Acres neighborhood of Springfield.

William Russo-Appel of East Longmeadow was recently named Freedom’s new marketing officer. He is responsible for managing the credit union’s advertising, marketing, and public relations activities throughout Western Massachusetts.

Russo-Appel has 16 years of marketing and communications experience in a broad array of industries including health care, law, real estate, outdoor apparel, retail, and telecommunications. Most recently, he was director of Marketing and Public Relations at Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer and prior to that, he was a marketing specialist at the Hartford-based law firm of Robinson & Cole.

Russo-Appel is working at Freedom’s headquarters on Main Street in Springfield.
