Hampden Bank reopens branch

SPRINGFIELD -- Hampden Bank (Hampden Bancorp -- NASDAQ: HBNK) recently hosted a grand re-opening celebration for its Allen Street office.

The newly remodeled office is located at 1363 Allen St. Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and State Rep. Angelo J. Puppolo, Jr. were among the many guests to attend the celebration. Puppolo also presented a special citation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives to Thomas R. Burton, president and CEO of Hampden Bank and the staff at the Allen Street office, honoring the occasion.

"Besides a new look, this remodel brings new technology to the office to better serve our customers," said William D. Marsh III, senior vice president. "The renovations and upgrades are designed to make both transactional and consultative services more convenient for customers and the latest teller cash dispensing machines, add security, increased speed and ease for all transactions". And while the new modern look is extremely eye-appealing, it's really all about convenience for our customers," Marsh went on to say.

Mayor Sarno stated, "I'm glad Hampden Bank is a part of this wonderful city. Besides being a committed business partner, they always give back to the community. They are the proud sponsor of the annual Hoop City Jazz Festival, held in the summer, as well as supporting many youth and school programs throughout our community."
