Hampden County Physician Associates' Allergy, Asthma and Immunology practice now accepting patients

SPRINGFIELD Hampden County Physician Associates LLC, a leading multi-specialty physician group located throughout Western Massachusetts, is pleased to announce that its Allergy, Asthma and Immunology practice is currently accepting patients of all ages. The practice is led by Hampden County Physician Associates' team of allergists, including Jonathan Bayuk, DO; Fred Mudawwar, MD; and Vanessa Van Stee, MD. The practice has three convenient locations: 269 Locust St. in Northampton; 300 Stafford St., Suite 210, in Springfield; and 140 Southampton Rd. in Westfield.

The Allergy, Asthma and Immunology practice of Hampden County Physician Associates employs the latest methods in diagnosing, treating and teaching patients how to manage their asthma and allergies, which may include food, insect, skin and pollen allergies. The practice's team of allergists helps patients of all ages from children to adults effectively tackle these allergies, employing a variety of tests in order to diagnose individuals and develop personalized treatment plans. These include tests to identify problematic environmental factors (e.g., pollen, weeds, grasses, animals, etc.), foods, chemical factors (metals, chemicals), insect venoms and medications.

Dr. Bayuk has received a fellowship in allergy and clinical immunology from the SUNY Buffalo, located in Buffalo, N.Y., and is board certified in allergy and clinical immunology. He serves as the director of allergy and immunology training at Tufts School of Medicine, where he is also an assistant professor. Dr. Bayuk is a fellow of both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, as well as the founder/president of the Western Massachusetts Food Allergy Network.

Dr. Mudawwar received a fellowship in allergy and immunology from Harvard Medical School and is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is also a senior clinical instructor at Tufts School of Medicine, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Disability Analysts.

Dr. Van Stee completed her fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, located in Newark, N.J., and is board certified in internal medicine. She is also an assistant professor of medicine at Tufts School of Medicine.
