SPRINGFIELD – Hampden Zimmerman, New England's premier provider of lighting design, announced on June 10 the addition of lighting showroom salesperson, Jill Jarvis, and Marketing coordinator, Kim Lynch.
Jarvis brings several years of lighting design expertise to Hampden Zimmerman's Springfield-based lighting design showroom. The 40,000 square foot facility displays a wide variety of lighting designs from the finest brands, along with art, mirrors, accent furniture and accessories.
"Hampden Zimmerman is committed to providing Pioneer Valley contractors, designers and retail customers with the industry's best and most innovative lighting design services," Mark Lauria, regional president of Hampden Zimmerman, said. "Our recruitment processes, like any of our other services, are second to none. Jill and Kim bring additional expertise to our organization."
Jarvis, of Monson, has been a lighting associate since 1987 and brings a wealth of knowledge to Hampden Zimmerman's showroom, including the ability to use house plans and blue prints to help customers select lighting solutions.
"Lighting has a lot of power. It can set a mood, add ambiance, highlight architectural elements and reflect your own personal style," Jarvis said. "I am truly excited to be working with Hampden Zimmerman and the extensive selection of lighting designs on the showroom floor."
In addition to providing customers with superior service, Jarvis will focus on the presentation and assembly of lighting fixtures and displays. Prior to joining the staff at Hampden Zimmerman, she worked with the Hartford, Conn.-based Restoration Lighting Gallery, the Massachusetts-based Wilbraham Light Shop, Eastern Electric and the Electric Outlet with locations in Springfield and East Longmeadow.
Lynch, of Somers, Conn., brings more than 18 years of experience in developing, implementing and coordinating marketing initiatives. At Hampden Zimmerman, Lynch will focus on store merchandising, managing the company website and partners rewards program, developing customer databases and promotional materials.
Most recently, Lynch managed marketing projects for Holyoke-based Horizon Solutions, an electrical and industrial distributor.
"I have been working within the distribution industry for years and I am thrilled to join the vibrant team at Hampden Zimmerman," Lynch said.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Westfield State and an associate degree in Liberal Arts from Springfield Technical Community College.
