JCC to host online marketing seminar

SPRINGFIELD " The Springfield JCC, 1160 Dickinson St., will host a seminar titled Online Marketing for Your Offline Business on April 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Participants will learn to harness the power of the Internet to market their businesses or services; learn relevant buzz words; and observe statistics of who is using the Internet and how people look for information before making a purchase.

Also discussed will be online tools such as search engine optimization (getting your business at the top of search engine lists), blogs/podcasts, e-newsletters and social media marketing using Facebook, LinkedIN, and Twitter.

While this instruction benefits business owners, those who want to offer services online, such as consultants, can benefit from this course. Instructor Marlene Gavens is a Web 2.0, Internet and Social Networking Consultant.

This program and others are made possible through Life Lessons: The William & Margery Sadowsky Center for Adult Learning at the Springfield JCC.

Everyone, including the general public, is welcome to participate.

The cost is $20 for JCC members, or $30 for the general public.
