Kalicka supports Link to Libraries reading program

EAST LONGMEADOW – David Kalicka, a partner at Meyers Brothers Kalicka in Holyoke, was recently a celebrity reader for Link to Libraries' Read Aloud program at the Sullivan Elementary School in Holyoke.

Link to Libraries Inc. is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to distribute and donate books to inner city youth of all cultural backgrounds.

Kalicka, who grew up and attended Holyoke Public Schools, spoke to the grade five students of the importance of reading and the opportunities that having a good education brings to people of all ages. The firm also donated 200 new books to the school library and its students through the Link to Libraries program.

Meyers Brothers Kalicka, CPA firm is a Link to Libraries Business Book Link sponsor, which involves the sponsorship of the school library for a three year time period.

Susan Jaye-Kaplan, co-founder of the Link to Libraries stated, "Having business professionals such as David Kalicka read,mentor and work with inner city youth is a win-win for all. It gives these wonderful boys and girls an opportunity to see caring, committed and educated professionals give back to their community.
