THE KATRINA BRACELET

Longmeadow Flowers, Gifts and Home offers "The Katrina bracelet." These handmade bracelets are created with ornamental glass and silver beads accented with a silver unity charm. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina. These bracelets, selling for $40, were designed by Kellie Papallo, an employee.

RETIREMENT PLANNING

Pal Dansereau, an Edwards Jones investment representative in Palmer, will host a free seminar on advanced retirement planning techniques at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 or Oct. 12 at Grapevines in Belchertown; on Oct. 10 or 1448 Main St., Palmer on Oct. 12. MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT

The Center for Business and Technology at Springfield Technical Community College will conduct a variety of computer workshops and management development programs within the next few weeks. The Center also offers authorized training for Microsoft and Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) certifications as well as a wide range of information technology (IT) certification programs including A+, Network+, i-Net+, Linux+, Server+ and Cisco.
