| The Dowd Insurance Agencies' Michael Rzepka, CPCU, has received the 2006 Paul Harris Fellow Award for outstanding community service from the Springfield Rotary Club. The Paul Harris Fellow Award is Rotary's most prestigious honor, bestowed upon those who exemplify the highest ideal in Rotary of "service above self." The award is named for the founder of Rotary International, a century-old network of business professionals who volunteer in service to their communities. A member of the Springfield Rotary Club since 1991, Rzepka is a native of the Pioneer Valley and a 27-year veteran of the insurance industry, working with The Dowd Group for the past 15 of those years. He makes his home in Longmeadow with his wife of 21 years, Christine and his three children. He also participates in the town's youth athletics, serving as a soccer, basketball, and baseball coach as well as a parent volunteer for Longmeadow Boy Scout Troop 90, a member of the Springfield Lodge of Elks and Corporator for the Richard Salter Storrs Library. |
