NewAlliance Bank hosted an appreciation event

NewAlliance Bank hosted a customer appreciation day at the Naismith Memorial basketball Hall of Fame on Feb. 24. They gave away vouchers for free admission at the NewAlliance branch offices in Massachusetts and northern Connecticut.
NewAlliance Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NewAlliance Bancshares, Inc., hosted a free customer appreciation day at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Feb. 24. Vouchers for free admission were available at NewAlliance branch offices in Massachusetts and northern Connecticut for customers and the general public. NewAlliance branches include former Westbank branches.

All former customers of Westbank Corporation, which NewAlliance acquired on Jan. 2 received vouchers in their bank statements over the last month that admitted four people to the event.

The day's events included:

Celebrity appearances from WNBA Connecticut Sun player Nykesha Sales and former NBA Celtics player JoJo White. Attendees were encouraged to bring their cameras and get autographs.

A basketball free-throw challenge between local Boys & Girls Club representatives All participants received $1,000 for their club, with the winning club receiving $1,500.

The first 750 guests to arrive with a NewAlliance voucher received a free lunch voucher to McDonald's from the Bank.

Attendees also entered the NewAlliance raffle for a chance to win one of 23 prizes, including: a 32" flat screen television, digital cameras, Spalding basketballs and gift certificates.
