Real estate exam prep course

Date: 1/10/2012

SPRINGFIELD – Springfield Technical Community College’s (STCC) Workforce Development office will offer “Preparation for the Real Estate Sales Exam,” a state-approved course for those interested in becoming licensed real estate salespersons.

This program starts Jan. 24 and will meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m.

STCC also partners with the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers to offer training to prepare individuals for a career in real estate appraisal. Regulations of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts require that those interested in becoming real estate appraisers pass a licensing exam. In order to qualify to take this exam, individuals must complete a specified number of hours of education in an approved program, such as those offered at STCC, as well as apprenticeship hours working under a licensed appraiser.

Upcoming courses include: Basic Appraisal Principles; Basic Appraisal Procedures; Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP); and USPAP Update.

STCC has also partnered with Cengage Learning CompuTaught to offer online continuing education and exam preparation courses for Real Estate Appraisers in Massachusetts.

Space is limited in all programs and interested individuals should go to www.stcc.edu/wd or call the Workforce Development office at 755-4502 or 755-4225 to register.
