Second anniversary celebrated at What's Cooking, Kids?

Date: 10/26/2009

EAST LONGMEADOW What's Cooking, Kids? celebrated its second anniversary Oct. 14, marked by a new seven-week session of cooking classes for kids ages three to 18. Classes for this session include "Pumpkin Not Just For Pies," "Chinese Fusion" and "Beyond Pirogues Polish Cuisine."

Since opening its doors in 2007, What's Cooking, Kids? has expanded its classes to include an adult program, and it is growing rapidly. A monthly supper club and the Celebrity Chef Series offer an educational night out for area adults and parents.

Beyond cooking classes, What's Cooking, Kids? has also added special events for children that occur monthly. These events include movie nights where "High School Musical" and "Bed Time Stories" have graced the What's Cooking, Kids? screen accompanied by movie-themed snacks.

In the current economy, What's Cooking, Kids? is proud to have reached the two year mark. What's Cooking, Kids? is a culinary experience for young chefs located at 41 Maple St. in East Longmeadow. The culinary school hosts nearly 70 students during any given session and offers special events, birthday parties and adult classes.
