Seminar on 'green' household cleaners

A learning seminar entitled 'The Real Dirt on Household Cleaners' will be presented on June 26 at ValleyStone Credit Union in Wilbraham. As part of their 'Neighborhood Watch' series of events, this seminar will be presented by Bill Ravanesi, Public Health Specialist.

He will discuss how to identify harmful ingredients in common cleaners and how to substitute safer, more effective green cleaning products. It has been found that many cleaners contain carcinogens and ingredients that have been linked to respiratory problems, (including asthmas), central nervous system disorders, reproductive problems, and kidney and liver disease.

The event is free and open to the public. It is being held in the Community Room at ValleyStone Credit Union, 2002 Boston Rd. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Please call Shirley at 800-455-6328 to reserve a spot.
