WBOA sponsors Women's Night of Comedy March 31

Date: 2/28/2011

HOLYOKE — The Women Business Owners Alliance of the Pioneer Valley (WBOA) will host its 18th annual Women's Night of Comedy on March 31 at the Log Cabin. Doors open for the evening at 5:30 p.m. This event delivers fun, fantastic networking and the support of women and girls.

Becky Castro, chair of the Women's Night of Comedy Committee and owner of "ILoveMondayMornings.com" said, "This is truly a 'fun-raiser' in support of the advancement of women and girls. As we have fun — laughing our assets off — we will be raising money for area organizations that need support for women and girls. We encourage attendees to attend this comedic party with a purpose — and laugh, hoot and cry if you need to as top comediennes wow us during a delicious dinner and cocktails."

Last year, the event boasted more than 200 attendees and featured comedians from New York, Boston and the Pioneer Valley. Proceeds this year will benefit Square One, Girls Inc., and Joy of Jasper, an organization that supports young girls at risk.
