Western Mass Ad Club to host 2010 ADDY Awards

SPRINGFIELD The Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts (ACWM) will celebrate the craft of advertising at the 2010 ADDY Awards on March 18 from 5 to 9 p.m. at CityStage in Springfield.

Don't miss your chance to see the best creative work of the area's top advertising talent and learn who has landed coveted spots on this A-list of creative excellence and achievement.

The annual ADDY competition recognizes advertising excellence in all media including print, broadcast, interactive, out-of-home and public service advertising. One-hundred forty-two entries were received this year from 31 agencies, companies or individuals in Western Massachusetts.

A distinguished panel of advertising experts selected the winners. The panel, all experienced judges on a national level, included Emily Dorr, creative director at Jean Peterson Design in Frederick, Maryland; Tim Klinger, creative director at Kleidon & Associates in Akron, Ohio; and John Topacio, creative director at Euro RSCG/Chicago.

Sponsored by JX2 Productions, Rich Wright Productions and Elegant Affairs, the ADDY Award celebration begins at 5 p.m. with cocktails and a grand buffet during entry viewing, followed by a presentation of awards at 7 p.m. with coffee and dessert following.

Tickets are $50 for ACWM members, $60 for non-members and $25 for full-time students. Reservations must be made in writing and in advance by March 12. Tickets may be purchased online at adclubwm.org or by calling 736-CLUB (2582). Discounted parking will be provided at CityStage. An additional charge of $5 will apply for those appearing without prior reservations.
