Burger King helps Dana-Farber, Jimmy FundDate: 7/31/2014 GREATER SPRINGFIELD – Burger King customers can help fight cancer through Sept. 7 by contributing $1 to the Jimmy Fund through the A Chance for Kids & Families program at participating Burger King restaurants in six New England states and throughout New York and New Jersey.
Local restaurants participating are located at 489 State St., Springfield, 400 Cooley St., Springfield, 755 Page Blvd., Springfield, 1395 Liberty St., Springfield, and 983 Riverdale St., West Springfield. With each contribution, customers will receive a promotion card guaranteed to be a winner with prizes ranging from an all-inclusive trip from TNT Vacations Powered by Funjet Vacations, American Airlines miles, theme park tickets, Valvoline Instant Oil Change discounts and free services, to prizes from Burger King. “We are proud to have the opportunity to raise funds that will help so many people through our partnership with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute,” Jim Froio, Burger King franchisee and president, New England Franchisee Association, said. “Cancer touches every family and it means a great deal to the Burger King community to be able to work toward saving lives and furthering critical cancer research through this program,” he added.
