Nurse manager named at Holyoke Medical Center

HOLYOKE Lynn Grondin, R.N., B.S.N., has been promoted to the position of nurse manager for Perioperative Services at Holyoke Medical Center. The announcement was made by Ward Mulford, R.N., director of operations, Inpatient Services at the facility.
Grondin previously served as clinical coordinator and subsequently acting manager of the department. Prior to this, she worked in Perioperative Services and the Emergency Department as a staff R.N. Additionally, she has extensive experience in ICU and medical-surgical nursing.
Her duties will include overall management of Short Stay Surgery, the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and Medical Short Stay. In addition, Grondin serves on multiple hospital committees and projects, including the Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP Core Measures), the Transfusion Committee, the JCAHO Task Force and the Hand-off Communication Committee, among others.
She graduated from Baystate Medical Center School of Nursing and obtained her bachelor of science in Nursing degree from UMass. She is an active member of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses.
