'All About Families' storytime registration open

LUDLOW Registration for the Hubbard Memorial Library's Fall Storytime Session "All About Families" begins Oct. 1. The six-week session runs Oct. 8 - Nov. 6. There will be two storytime groups for three to five year olds; Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. These storytimes include approximately 30 minutes of stories, fingerplays, songs, and games related to the week's theme, followed by a craft project and a snack; the total storytime runs about 60 minutes.

There will be a Story-And-Play session for two-year-olds on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. These storytimes feature approximately 15 minutes of stories and fingerplays, followed by an unstructured craft and free-play session and snack; the Story-And- Play sessions run about 45 minutes. There will also be storytime for five to eight year olds "Treasure Trove" on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. featuring stories and activities related to the day's theme, interactive storytelling, lots of audience participation, and age-appropriate crafts. This session's authors include Roy Gerrard, Babette Cole, David Weisner, Katherine Holabird, Amy Schwartz and Cynthia Rylant.
