CAR DONATION

Boys and Girls Clubs in Massachusetts are asking people to remember them when they are thinking of getting rid of their cars, think of them. Donated cars go to help the Massachusetts Boys and Girls Clubs in their mentoring programs. Club officials note that the cars must be intact and the donor must have the Certificate of Title. If you wish to donate or get more info, call 800-246-0493. There are no restrictions

TEEN ROOM

The Springfield Jewish Community Center offers a safe, nurturing environment for teenagers. There is a game room for friends to play, study or simply hang out. Theatrix, a teen drama group is available to those in 8th grade through college. For those who enjoy community service, "Don't Just Sit There" (DJST) helps make a difference in the lives of others.



TEEN FITNESS

There is also a teen fitness class for 7th through 12th graders. Participants work with a trainer, interact with peers and develop a cardiovascular and weight training routine. Each class is limited to eight participants. It is offered at the Springfield JCC, 1160 Dickinson Street, Mondays or Thursdays, 4 - 5 p.m. Register at the JCC front desk for an 8-week session.
