| SPRINGFIELD On Nov. 1, Valley performers will join with Best Buddies of Western Massachusetts in celebration of the second annual Artistic Abilities Auction and Exhibition. The City Stage event will feature performances by special guests Darryl Tookes and Seth Glier. Tickets are also available online at www.bestbuddiesma.org The Auction and Exhibition takes place 5:30 - 9 p.m. at City Stage, 1 Columbus Center in Springfield. Parking is free. Best Buddies Massachusetts is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. The organization has adult participants and high school programs in Springfield, West Springfield, Westfield, Hampden, Wilbraham and Chicopee. Best Buddies also has additional adult participants in Feeding Hills and Holyoke. College programs include American International College, Mount Holyoke, Smith College, Springfield College and UMass Amherst. |
