Bowl-a-thon to benefit CHD Disability Resources

SPRINGFIELD CHD Disability Resources will be hosting its seventh annual Bowl-a-Thon on April 24 at AMF Airway Lanes, 1387 Liberty St.

The Bowl-a-Thon will run from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Registration begins at 1 p.m. Bowlers can enter by either paying a $25 entry fee, which goes to support the program, or raising a minimum of $25 through pledges. The entry fee includes three games of either 10 pin or candle pin bowling and rental shoes.

All ages and abilities are welcome.

"This is a great way to help support our program and a chance to have fun with your family and friends at the same time," said Nancy Bazanchuk, program director of CHD Disability Resources.

CHD Disability Resources provides daily, year-round competitive sports and recreational activities for people with physical disabilities and visual impairments, such as wheelchair basketball and soccer, sled hockey, golf, bowling, swimming, junior sports, adaptive dance, dinners and game nights.
