Members of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Key Women Educators of the Western Massachusetts Area IV chapters: Alpha, Chi, and Alpha Epsilon hosted a meeting on Oct. 23. Wanting to learn more about the organization's international member countries such as Iceland, the educators created puppets and performed skits based on the legends of the countries researched by Alpha Chapter President, Dr. Ann Barone. Art teacher Karen Schumer, taught the educators how to make the puppets using recycled and craft materials. The society provides opportunities for women in education to develop leadership skills, promote professionalism and collaborate on educational issues.
