Bagels and Books with Your Favorite Illustrators- Wendell Minor

Wendell Minor draws upon his lifelong affinity for environmental issues to create illustrations for children's books, to inspire them to go out into the fields and woods and mountains to see wildlife in its natural habitat.

1 p.m. book signing open to the public;$13 Adults, $9 Youth (Members- Adult $12, Youth $8).

Beginning with Books

This program offers practical advice for anyone interested in building a picture book library for and using books with babies and toddlers. A screening of the film Reading with Babies / Leyendo con Bebs is included in the progra.m., along with a 10% discount in the shop (Members 20%) and a take-away baby shower board book list.

Tales and Treats

Join puppeteer Marilyn Price as she weaves a finely crafted version of the classic tale of Hans Brinker or The Silver Skates by American writer Mary Elizabeth Mapes Dodge. Her original puppets inspired by the art in the exhibit, "Dutch Treats: Contemporary Art from The Netherlands," will amaze and delight audiences of all ages; free with Museum Admission.
