Hampden Senior Center helps deliver ‘A Million Thanks’

Date: 11/21/2011

WEST SPRINGFIELD — Integra Home Health Agency has teamed up with the national organization, “A Million Thanks,” in hopes that veterans everywhere will lend their experiences, strength and hope to those men and women who are currently serving overseas, at home or injured in the hospital.

Who better to lend a helping hand or a listening ear then those who have experienced it themselves?

On Nov. 10, local senior citizens and veterans at the Hampden Senior Center were the first to participate in the month-long project.

Together, with Integra Home Health Agency, many heartfelt letters will make their way to an active, reserve or veteran who is in need.

To send a letter, visit http://amillionthanks.org or contact Susan Fontaine, director of marketing and sales of Integra Home Health Agency, at 374-9604.

Any letters sent to the Integra Home Health office at 123 Park Ave., West Springfield, MA 01089, will be taken to Debra Latham at the “A Million Thanks” organization’s home office in Brockton.
