HCC offers free course on college

HOLYOKE — Interested in college and a good career, but need help getting ready?

Holyoke Community College (HCC) and the Community Education Project will offer a free course to help adult learners prepare for college. Classes meet at HCC on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, Jan. 31 to May 13. Students will receive instruction in reading, writing, math and pre-algebra, basic science, computer and study skills, and assistance identifying career paths in health care and other industries that pay fair wages. The classes are taught in English, counseling is available in English or Spanish.

Applicants must be 18 or older, have earned a GED from any time or graduated from high school five or more years ago.
