Instant Acceptance Wednesdays scheduled for students at STCC

Date: 7/13/2009

SPRINGFIELD "Instant Accept Wednesdays have proven to be very successful at STCC," said Louisa Davis-Freeman, Dean of Admissions at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC). "It saves time in students' busy schedules to be able to be able to apply to college and be accepted, all in one visit."

Every Wednesday from now through Aug. 19, the STCC Admissions Office will be open for extended hours, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., to "instantly accept" students into the college for the fall 2009 semester. No appointment is necessary.

Potential students should bring with them their official high school

transcripts or GED scores and certificate. If they graduated from a Massachusetts high school after 2002, they should also bring proof of passing the MCAS exam. They can be accepted on the spot and receive their acceptance letter, all in one visit. Davis-Freeman said, "People may instantly get accepted to college it's that easy."

The STCC Admissions Office is located on the first floor of Garvey Hall.
