Kids Fest returns to Six Flags with Thomas the Tank Engine and SpongeBob

AGAWAM It's the end of another school year, but the family-friendly festivities at Six Flags New England have just begun. Kids Fest is back and will be the highlight of every child's summer.

Join Six Flags New England and Sir Topham Hatt as we celebrate 65 years of Thomas the Tank Engine with a birthday bash that includes cake, face painting, balloons, a play area and a contest. The first 65 children to enter Thomas Town will receive a goodie bag.

Children's favorite Bikini Bottom resident, SpongeBob SquarePants, is making his first appearance at Six Flags New England for special meet and greets. The popular, cutting-edge Six Flags Rollercoaster Cuts located in Blue Back Square will also be on site to paint young girls' nails. The one of a kind teenager Daniel Dietz returns to Six Flags New England for Kids Fest weekend to perform eye shocking yo-yo tricks to raise money for the non-profit organization, the Smile Train.

Stars from the ASA Action Sports World Tour, presented by the Air Force Reserve, will thrill fans with performances by the action sports industry's elite skateboarders and BMX riders including Anthony Furlong, Jay Stevason, Jay Eggleston, Koji Kraft and Trevor Meyer.

Thomas' Birthday Celebration, along with Daniel Dietz and Roller Coaster Cuts, will take place June 5 from 10 a.m. to noon. The Ramp Jam Tour will have performances at 1:30, 3:30 and 6 p.m.

On June 6, SpongeBob SquarePants will meet and greets his fans from 11 to 11:30 a.m., noon to 12:30 p.m., 1 to 1:30 p.m., and 2 to 2:30 p.m. The Ramp Jam Tour will perform again at 1:30, 3:30 and 6 p.m.
