Learn to run a lean business at workshop

Is your business delivering the bottom line you expect? Many small business owners are concerned and struggle with this question. Current and future business owners in any business industry or environment can generate profits and favorably impact their bottom line by cutting waste in all aspects of the business, through learning and following the universal concepts taught in this new workshop on "Increasing Productivity, Growing Your Bottom Line," sponsored by SCORE Western Massachusetts. This SCORE workshop will take place June 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Scibelli Enterprise Center, One Federal St., Springfield, across from the STCC campus. The workshop facilitator is Steve Niederfringer. Niederfringer has 30 years of experience with both privately held and Fortune 500 firms where he was a senior executive. He will share the basics of his Quick Lean program the five key elements of Lean, popular programs and tools (Kaizen events), real life experience of lean management and how to achieve results in a reasonable time frame. Niederfringer is a SCORE counselor.

SCORE is a non-profit all volunteer national organization and is a resource partner of the United States Small Business Administration. The SCORE mission is to provide free and confidential counseling and low cost business workshops to men and women who are starting up or operating a small business. There are 43 volunteers locally with a wide range of business background and skills. Counseling is provided in Springfield at the Scibelli Enterprise Center and at WNEC, as well as at branch locations in Greenfield, Pittsfield, Northampton and Agawam.
